Healthy, green living environments in cities are often not self-evident. Something many people do not realise is that planting urban trees takes much more than just digging a hole and putting a tree in it.
Trees, especially urban trees, need proper care to grow into mature, functional trees. Room to grow, irrigation, aeration, stability and nutritious soil are crucial elements for the tree to grow old healthily in the urban environment. Unfortunately, trees often suffer in cities because they do not have these crucial elements at their disposal. Underground, trees become entangled in a large network of cables, pipes and other utilities.
As a result, they have no room to grow and to become strong, stable and healthy. This is a real waste, as there are simple solutions to provide trees with proper care in the city.
Our mission is to help trees grow old healthily in the city, so that we can create healthy, liveable cities.
